Bought a brand new nikon off ebay a couple years back, from japan. Worked out about a couple hundred bucks or so cheaper than the retailers here

Watch out buying razors on ebay - many fakes out there that look real but aren't. They are blunt, don't last as long and sometimes don't click in the handle.

Also a great way to move on anything not needed round the house , and dont be shy people will buy almost anything ,just be prepared to put a realistic price on it. $10, $15 or hundreds is better in your pocket/local tackle shop than that old unwanted thing taking up space in your house . Also you may be surprised i sold an old canadian canoe late last year in fair condition although about 20 years old and got in excess of $300 .

My mate buy's most of his electronics (mp4 players, etc) on ebay and they seem to be in pretty good knick. But, I still personally wouldn't buy anything from ebay. cause there always a percentage that you'll get a dodgy quality product. just my opinion.

Just bought a Hearty Rise Egi rod for just over $150 last night. Saved $100 on retail price. Can't wait for it to arrive!

Im a bit of a ebay fan. i cant work it out, when ever you buy something off Ebay you get a real good deal and when ever you sell something on there you seem to get pretty good coin aswell.
we had a little tiny that we sold on therer a few years ago, we where prepared to let it go for next to nothing, we ended up getting 1200 for it and when the guy came to pick it up he was stoked and said he was willing to pay much more for it if he had to. ebay= win win

I don't sell a lot of stuff but the few items I've sold recently sold for much higher than I anticipated. As for bargains, the best bargain I got so far would have to be a Valco stroller for my little boy, RRP $174, got it for $10.95.
