Lure keyring decoration

Anyone else tried using lure as keyring decroations. They look pretty nice imo. U take off the trebles and u attach the split ring at the front to a normal key ring. I tried it with a cheap strike pro pygmy rainbow trout colour since it was getting used much anyway and it surprising it looks good. List some of the lure you've tried using as decoration as well if you have.

If that's an original pygmy (not pygmy2) I'll give you $15 without the hooks. Caught my first bream on lure on that one and was devo when I lost it.

Going back a few years but lures make awesome keyrings deco's especially if there is a good story behind it. Some old timers may even remember the original thread
This Tilsan Minnow was smashed by a monsterous Blackwood Bream and was added to my key ring for a long time until it completely broke apart.

i didnt think of using one as commemoration of a nice fish. i'll do that if i catch a big one except i dont think i have the willpower to retire a lure that work that catches big fish.

my mate used a daiwa shiner as a keyring after he caught his first salty barra. and like 3 months later he gave it a homemade paint job and "un-retired" not sure hows the new paint job working out yet.

I was going to retire a paticularly potent lure which looked more like arnie at the end of Terminator 2 than a micro vibe. It would have made a nice keyring had i not left it on the top of the car and driven off

I am hoping that one of the new breed can step up to the plate and take the honour of being next to my house key
