Mate i dont know if the specific knot you want is listed here, there can be so many different names for the same knot.

But this site has full animated knots it helped me a learn a few really quickly, there are some other sites like this out there to so you might be able to find the one your looking for that is animated on a similar site.

Good Luck

when trying the bimini to slim beauty do you lose the end of the double as a tag end though?

yeah you do =[
but i reckon that's ok! still very strong

is the improved gt similar to this?
Six-turn Yucatan knot

i used to do this, but with heavier leader it turns into quite a large knot

this is it here http://www.fishingkaki.com/forum/fil...t_knot_488.gif

i havent fished with it yet but it looks to be very strong and its a pretty slim knot
you keep the whole double too using that.

how long do you make your double by the way?

ahh!
that does look nice! that'd be the same size as a slim beauty since that figure 8 is the same as the slim uses

around 10cm or so for the bimini. but to tie that gt knot it might be easier if your bimini is longer

i made mine about 30cm still had plenty for the gt, you dont need a lot as you weave with the leader not tie anything with the double itself
