shimano saragosa

just wondering.. what do some of u anglers that own this reel think about them?? because ive been tossing up on either getting a saragosa 4000 or a stradic 4000..
help please

depending on what sort of fishing your doing id say stradic for plastics/tuna spinning and that sort of thing, if your light jigging then yeah the saragosa. only thing is theres a lot of plastic internally in all saragosa's except the 2 bigger sizes but they are still a fairly brutal reel

im looking to use the reel for pretty much barra and snapper.. ill also flick plastics and slugs with it and fish with livies on the reef... so yerr.. im basically looking for the strongest out of the two

id go the stradic then mate, only upside to the saragosa is that is a very slow reel so it works a jig well but other than that stradic leaves it for dead

ok ill hav to match em up and see what feels better.. its jus my mate owned a stradic and he took goood care of it but its crapped itself.. so yerr.

ive been using the fi 5000 stradic for spinning tunas, sp for snaps and light jigging around moreton island and cant find any fault with it, only better reels i can find is twin power and stella sw. your choice but stradic will outlast saragosa by a long shot

hmm... well i went to the tackle shop and ended up getting the saragosa.. it felt like a much better reel than the stradic..

sure thing.. i got the saragosa 4000 with 30lb fins and matched it on a shimano ian miller jewel snapper spin rod.. i love the feel of it.. cant wait to hook a monduran barra on it
