2500 or 3000 sol

I cant decide. its for non-bream purposes like snapper, assorted small tuna etc etc.

2500 is on the border.

I'd go 3000.

Cheers,
Alex

I run a 2000 for snapper and haven't had any probs to 3-4.5kg fish on 12lb braid. Depends what your loading it with, the 3000 if you want the extra spool capacity but I like the small size for flicking SP's.

I agree with bubblebass, a 2000 will aid in casting placcies a little better but If you're just after one reel for multiple species Alex is right, a 3000 is the way too go, those tuna may not always come up small.

2500 might be a bit small for the stripy's.

I would definatly go for the 3000 size.

Good choice on the on the reel model. Sols are fantastic

just in case you dont know yet......The Sol 2500 and 3000 are the same reel but different rotor and spool size. Its the only reel I know that shares the same body. All other models seems to have their own 3000 size body.

The guy is asking about a $300 reel and you suggest a $700 reel
