New reel, any suggestions?

Hi everyone, I been told that Im getting a new reel for christmas. $250 is the MAX amount, and Im not sure what reel to get, Im thinking either a shimano stradic or a Diawa Tierra. Its gonna be used for Bream, Flathead, bass and all your estuary species. But I thought it would be a good idea's to ask you guys to see what reel you suggest I buy. Any suggestions?

Cheers Fisho

Hey both those reels would do the job you looking at, probably a 2500 size depending on rod to be matched, the new stradic looks awesome but I think 339 the cheapest I've seen them for. You may be able to pickup a better second hand reel of here sol or something cheers mate

i picked up my tierra 2000 from US ebay for A$160 delivered, RRP is A$240. So with your budget if u are willing to order from Ebay USA you could get a sweet reel. If you are not familiar with ebay, read the feedback of the seller. My seller had a feedback of 5000++ with 99.5% positive feedback and I was very happy with the purchase and shipping.

I'm not sure what a twin power retails for but they are a great choice. If not the new stradics are supposed to be pretty good as well.

Cheers

Twinpower is a good reel Tim, however in the $350 - $450 price range.

I just picked up a new Twinpower 1000FB for $250, I was also considering a Twinpower FC for $315 or Stradic 1000FI for $215. All these were new from local tacklestores, I didnt price anything on line or second hand.

Hi,

The FC is the new model Twinpower. The FB is a great reel and a few might be still out in tackle stores. DohDohDohDohDohDohDohDoh has some FC's online.
