Talking rod for luvias 2000

I got a Luvias 2000 on the way and now i gotta look at getting
the rod. Until i get the new rod iv'e got the luvias on a Pflueger trion
7ft 1 pc 2-4kg. Mainly be doing finnese plastics and small hardbody
work but also might have a crack at some flatties as well. My budget is
MAX of $500. also any sugestions on line would be good, thinking of 10lb
castaway or linesytem bass hard pe braid in 6 -10lb.

All replies appreciated.

Reggie.

samurai with rockfish will be a killer... castaway is more suited to 25xx reels i have found...

If you are going to run sunline rockfish pe I would suggest using the 10lb 0.6, great line but I found I lost a lot of leaders at the knot using the 0.3. Even when using 4lb leader the braid to leader knot has massive size difference, when I got snagged I would lose my leader 9 times out of ten. The 0.6 is very, very fine anyway and I found I did not gain much more distance etc..using 0.3. Get yourself some varivas pe spray aswell it's a must have
