winther rains,

After the rain that fell last week, is it just me, or are other ppl noticing the breamskies now changing to their 'winter coat' (darker colour)

good to see more mussel growth around as well thanksto the nutrients flushed down

Ive been patrolling the lower reaches, and over the last 10 days, the water visibility has changed heaps, and the fishing is really starting to pick up

I know what you mean about the water clarity, and the fish have become a bit hungrier. Got myself seven fish over the weekend including my PB. Only 30m but its a start.

i reckon with the decrease in clarity, the fish are 'coming out' a bit more, less chance the they are going to get gobbled up

in another few weeks, should be firing in a few certain spots

good DohDohDohDoh on the pb,

did ya get yaself a new package to flick with??

Just got the Laguna for now, still waiting for the new stock to hit the shelves at the shop before i purchase a new stick. Running 2.7kg mono straght to the lure, and will soon fill the spare spool with 4bl fireline. The reel only just started feeling a bit graining this last weekend and took it to Geoff today and the bloody thing was fine Have just oiled it up with light machine oil and now it has developed a small 'clunk'. It'll probably settle though.
I can tell you now that the river is bloody cold, as i went in after my painted black R2S that got me a few fish on Fri night. I think I'll unleash the same lure again tomorrow night. You never know.
