Pick me a Reel

Im trying to get a new rod and reel, so which reel is better?

Penn Applause 1000 spinning reel 6lb - 140yd

Penn Affinity 1000 spinning reel 6lb - 140yd 5.1:1

Daiwa Kastor 2500 6lb - 210yd 4.8:1

Daiwa Primax 2500 6lb - 210yd 4.8:1

Daiwa Regal 5i Rg2000 6lb - 135 5.1:1

Shimano Seido SD1000FA 4lb - 140yd 6.0:1

Cheers, Zac

go into your local tackle shop and test them all out, that way you can find a reel best suited to you or you could find something better that isn't on the list.

I bought a Seido1000 a little while back and it is sensational for the money they set you back, granted, there no Daiwa, but well worth a look......
Having said that, I think you have to spend a fair whack to get a really good reel from either Daiwa or Shimano.
Try and find a second hand Sustain1000 if you can.
Cheers.

zac, the lower range daiwas arnt as good as the same in shimano so i would go the seido, but probs get the 2000 or 2500 if your gonna put it on a 2-4kg stick... run something like 8lb and it can double as a nice pinkie stick as well as bream wand
