UNITED COMPOSITS USA (Hastings) News !!!

many will have heard by now that HASTINGS USA the producers of the Graphite USA (GUSA), United rods and Pioneer range of rod blanks underwent a radical overhaul earlier this year when after suspending blank production for a time over the US winter, decided to call it quits.

The new owners trading as UNITED COMPOSITS USA moved the entire plant to a new location outside of LA and have spent he past few months overhauling the machinery and streamlining the product range and generally giving the new factory and good once over.
after a few teething issues with old machinery ect, the plant has now re commenced steady blank production with the first and new shipment of blanks to hit Aus in the next few weeks. with production to increase back to ful noise by the end of the year
good news indeed for fans of the blanks and especially for myself as many will know i utilise a lot of now UC blanks not only for my SwizzleStik and STALKER range of custom bream rods but also many other of the HUGE range of top quality blank produced by them.

of particular interest is the new range format.
the Entire GUSA and PIONEER blanks have now been replicated in both series.
(ie. the same madril will be used for both blanks, PIONEER series will be single helix construction and the GUSA series will be duel helix construction)
good news for those who want to step up from the renowned PIONEER blanks to the higher mod GUSA's without the guess work (and easier for me to find the right blank)

all the blanks soon to be available are listed on the Currant US site
http://www.unitedcomposites-usa.com/index.html

with the only alteration to take not of. being the UNITED DHX range listed in the US, will, in australia, still be known and marketed under the Graphite USA or GUSA label. and under strict licence agreements the entire range will be only available in Australia via GCCR and their stockist. the new US stockist are strickly forbidden to onsell US stock to Australia.
im assured that the quality control from raw material to the completed blanks have risen up a considerable notch due to overhauled and some new manufacturing equipment.

im sure all who have been waiting on news will be happy to hear of these developments.
