Gladiator Rods

Anyone used Gladaitors, I have done a little bit of searching and the opinion is that they are good value. apparently they make a range of rods of different quality, including ones of IMX 8,. ALso they are bringing out a tornament model top of the range, titanium guides etc. Contacted them by email, the response was most unimformative, they could not even tell me where I could buy one in Vic.

The gladiator rod blanks are sourced from the same place as some other rods on the market I've been told. The Gladiator Snakeskin as the same blank as the Okuma Trinis aparrantly. Personally I dont like the emphasis put on looks with the Gladiators, I find the grips too bulky and not functional whereas the Okuma Trinis rods really impress me. Price wise the Gladiators are great - good componentry and blanks.

The new top of the line one is going to be interesting - set to retail for $400 or so!! I personally wouldnt be stocking them though because at that price point you can get a Vapor, T-curve Flght, Loomis, Luvias rod or for just a little bit more a Samurai. Thats big competition for a brand that doesnt have a big name yet and my opinion is that customers will go for a brand that has a reputation for quality over a brand like Gladiator which is still shedding the image of being a low budget company.

Im not too sure about the 'bream' rods but the egi roads 'egi equip' are very good. I ended up going with the HR egi-force but they gladiator rods looked great, a good range too.
