Wanted, rod building gear

Guys, as winter is now upon us and the fishing slowing somewhat I have decided to hit the workshop and attempt a few rod builds/repairs/mods over the next few months.

I have dabbled briefly in this previously, I made up a makeshift rod lathe out of photocopier motors and bits and pieces but to be honest it was a totally rushed job and not good...

My plan is to start again and do it better this time.

I will build from scratch if need be, but before I go to the trouble I thought maybe someone here may have old or excess gear they would like to offload.

I am happy to pay for the gear but not looking to fork out too much $$$...

If need be I'll build my own gear up from scratch only spend more time on it this time around.

So if anyone has anything usefull let me know.

Cheers Bro's

You obviously haven't seen my handy work Hash. It's more likely I will create Perrie some work to repair my blunders...

The first job I want to do is redo the guides on a mate from works old Jarvis Walker glass rod, its gotta be around 40 years, he got it as a boy and it holds plenty of sentimental value for him, at least it does now, until I get my mitts on it.

Thanks for the tip re. the BBQ rottiserie Carragant, I actually have a motor from a photocopier which is the same type of deal as a rotisserie but I've got to re mount it.

I also have a faster motor for wrapping and I made a foot switch (last time) but I really want to be able to controll the speed with a foot pedal.

It's getting more and more complicated that's why I'm looking for someone to offload their excess or unwanted gear.
