Blue Fin Boats

Hey fellas,

Just perusing the net and stumbled across these.

http://www.bluefinboats.com.au/

there are heaps of different sizes and layouts and i think they are resonably priced too, similar to mako frenzys...

nice rigs...

what do you guys think?

i got the 435 wildcat, awsome small boat that has handled some insane conditions up in jurien bay and out from the metro area. nice ride and set up well for breaming.

P.S. hope the mods dont mind the link, cant get a pic up another way though. feel free to remove it if you want to.

Bluefin and Mako are apparently the same company. I have the 4.75m Viking plate model and am just in the process of having it fitted out. Great boat especially for inshore and offshore stuff.

I have the Barracuda and it is serving me well. A great in betweener that can handle the bream tornament scene, but has a deep enough V to handle 15 knots on the snapper in Port Phillip Bay.

Ring Theo at MY Marine - Dromana Vic for the best pricing.

I have a Tomcat and blows me away how well it handles the roft suff.. It does get a bit wet with a cross wind.. With a 90 optimax, 2 up, fishing gear 70l of fuel and full livewell she hit 75km in good water..
If any1 is looking at a tomcat, spend the xtra $$ for a 90 .. you will not regret it..
MMMmmmmmmm to the hellcat, but at 50+ k it would want to be good..

A pic of my pig

Hi guy's new to the site. Just starting out. Talking about boats. Blue Fin is a different company. But Makocraft and Stessl boats are the same boats. Alf stessl lost Stessl boats. Because of tax reason's and had to sell it. But they have now re-open as Mako Craft. I hope that helps you out. I've have set up a Tom Cat with a 90 opti max. Turning a 21 pitch 4 blade prop. Getting around 90 km . On smooth water. Great boats. Nice and stable , ride's good.

Bluefin

Guys - i have the Bluefin Predator with a 60hp Yam 4 stroke, really nice combo. Saw the boat second hand and was too good to pass up but prior to that was looking at the Mako Frenzy, Tournament Estuary Tracker, and the Bluefin Wildcat.

The Predator is a really solid deep boat and can do a bit more open water stuff, same as the Barracuda without the pod. If I wasn't after a family boat as well, i would have looked seriously at the Wildcat, they are a great size, just enough freeboard for rougher waters but very well appointed for breaming and Tourneys. Quite a bit faster than my rig too.

Mick.
