bream on soft plastics?

hi guys
i live on the canals in paynesville and i can see the bream around the end of my jetty. i have been trying 2 catch them for about two months but ive only gotton a couple of hits and no fish. can any1 set me out in the rite direction

Read, read, read is all I should say - I'm new myself and flicking thru the threads will find you bulk info! Perhaps put up a little more info about what you have been trying up to now. From all my reading and listening, if they can see you, you won't hook up though.

If they are around the structure of the jetty,try Gulp 2" minnow grubs in pumpkinseed or watermelon fished on a 1/50th size jighead and just let the lure sink slowly to the bottom, watch the loose line for hits.I find that if they are touchy they might just smack the lure first before coming back to inhale it on the 2nd approach and you will need to ignore the first hit on these occasions.
