Gold Coast Newbie

G'day
I am new to the forum and bream fishing and live at Tallebudgera on the Gold Coast. I have been involved in sportfishing for a number of years however due to young family have had to sell the 8m Haines Patriot and look for a form of fishing that is not as draining on the wallet and time as offshore game fishing to this end I have decided to take up Bream/Bass fishing.

As a newbie to this form of fishing I was wondering if there was anybody in the area that may be interested in going fishing for the day so I could spy some of thefishing methods used with soft plastics and lures or if anybody knows of a pro guide in the area that specializes in this form of fishing.

The problem is $$$ running a 8m boat with twin 200hp 2 stokes gets bloody expensive. I'm sure in a couple of years I will get another large boat (Black Watch 26 Express) but for the next couple of years some local bream and Bass fishing will fit the bill while keeping the family happy. I would not trade the kids for any number of days fishing.
