Aaaah your in for some fun nothing beats learning to casting overheads. One thing to remember is not to let your leader go on your spool, coz it doesnt like going through the line guide, snapped off a brand spanking new expensive Rapala Sub Walk when I let my 60lb leader get on the spool.

not at all mate !
get yourself a set of cating plugs and keep the rod and reel near by at all times and every chance you get have a play
you will be suprised at just how quick it will come to you
make sure you tighten the cast control right up to start with and just get used to casting dont worry bout ditance that will come later on
dont over think it mate baitcasters are heaps of fun and accurate as well
enjor your new reel they look very spiffy mate
cheers
