Barra around Exmouth

Hey guys havent posted anything for a while been quite busy of late. Ive got a 8 day trip to Exmouth with 2 mates at the end of the month and we are chasing any info in regards to Barra fishing around the Exmouth gulf. Were staying at the Lighthouse Caravan Park and taking the 4mt Hornet up with us. Ive seen some pics of Barra caught around the Exmouth area but wouldnt have a clue where? ive heard Wapet Creek or something but any info would be good if theres any reasonable Barrafishing spots around Exmouth that anyone would ike to share. And is this the best time of year.

Better off in the summer months mate, tad cool at the moment for them but you never know.

As for spots, ive found some good lookers in the gulf but it took me alot of time and energy to find them and i want to hit them up next time im there. You will hear lots of rumours about spots and I suggest the best thing is to go and try them out yourself. Watch for stonefish down the gulf, there are thousands of them.

Best of luck.

Definitley the creeks on the other side of the gulf, best bet would be launching from Learmonth or Giralia Station or even Wapit (very tide dependant), it is a fair trip across to the creeks though, and quite probably out of range of the hornet, and certainly the warmer months from what I understand. Many lumps in the gulf to have a plug at, with some holding good Jacks etc. Get a chart and go hunting if you cant get across the other side.

cheers
