Singapore Tackle stores

Hi folks,

I am heading to Singapore on the 11th of May, as such I will be unable to fish
the Albany round.
Just wondering where all the best Tackle stores are located.
Have heard they are on Swan (thanks MM) and Beach Road(thanks Sewelly)
Is that right?

Go and see Poh at Sabre Tackle in Beach Road, I know he has owners as thats where I send friends going there... can't remember what number but you should be able to find it on the net somewhere.

Thats the only one I know, but Beach Road is the stretch with with a good number of the fishing shops on it.

My 5c. Many moons ago I visited Chop Hock Heng, it was pretty good, I got onto this from an article in a Fishing World about 1987ish.

This and other good shops suggested in aforementioned thread.

I went over december last year. I visited beach road and went to poh's. There are some real good prices. Fireline is cheap as is most of the other stuff. Just a short stroll around beach road and you should find some others.

Not really planning to buy, thought I would just have a look see, never know might find a bargain and might find something we dont have over here..

I hope to catch up with "Sputnik" while I am over that way. He lives there and knows all the good spots.

If its anythign like africa dad you will be pleasantly surprised, i think stellas there were in the high 400's

Stella 20000 was very tempting for sambos but i restrained myself. No decent daiwa gear there

I think a trip to singapore might be in the cards sometime in the next year or so after hearing this. Lucky its warm over there. I can pack light so I can come home with heaps of stuff!!!
