Daiwa Sol 2000 or Tierra 2000

Hi i am in the market for a few new reels. I am keen to by better quality gear but not crazy expensive gear. I find the above mentioned reels are around mid market reels. Questions is i can buy them online the Tierra for around $140 and the sol for around $200. Mind you these are Ebay USA prices but even so.

Is it really worth the extra money for the sol. Am i really going to notice the Extra $60 or so ???

Thanks for your help.

Yes I have a tierra 2000 and would have bought the sol if I had know the difference in quality. You can feel the difference after you use it. Go the Sol many people have.

I have a team daiwa advantage which appears to be built off the same sort of platform to the Sol. I think you will find the Sol (and the advantage) have a drag rated to about double what the Tierra is. From this I gather they are also built a lot stronger than the Tierra.

Mate, i have the 2500 sol and the 3000 tierra. I have had the sol for almost 2 years and cannot fault it, still smooth as ever. However the tierra i bought just before christmas and it already feels loose and rough and has a slight vibration when you wind through the bottom half of the rotation. I am considering selling the reel and buying a 3000 sol.

Definatley go the sol!!
