Shimano Saros 1000F Vs Daiwa Tierra 1500

I'm looking at getting a light saltwater lure fishing combo instead of using my Trout combo in saltwater.

I'm after some opinions on the Shimano Saros 1000F and the Daiwa Tierra 1500. I want to know the ups and downs on these two reel.

I haven't decided what line and rod I'll match with the reel but I'll look into that once I have got the reel. Also, would these size reels be able to handle Pinkies, Salmon, Flathead and other similar sized fish?

mate im not sure about the shimano saros but i can tell you that the daiwa teirras are good little reels, ive had 2 and had no problems with them.
The drag systems on the tierras are top notch and as far as handling salmon, pinkies and flatties you wont have a problem...id be fairly confident chasing pretty big pinks on a 1500 tierra with thin 10lb braid and a heavy drag setting.
Only problem some have had with the tierras is their tendancy to "loosen up" a bit after alot of use, the tolerances start to get alot bigger and you start to feel some movement through the handle, rotor etc
