skip casting plastics

what plastic do you find the best to skip cast with. i love skip casting my plastics under jettys and boats, it feels so good when ya make a perfect cast and ya get ya plastic right in deep in a good looking spot. i use gulp shrimps and power minnows and squidgy bugs, these skip ok but im looking 4 a plastic that can realy be cast in deep in to tiger country and has no worries skipping on the surface. any idears on what i should try

3" bass minnows with the nitro (owner) jigheads - the pointed bullet heads work well for me

G'day,

Basically all Gulp plastics will skip, their water based or liquid based form allows them to skip under things quite nicley. I haven't skipped any of the Gulp Alive plastics but I imagine that they would skip that little bit further depending on the amount of force you throw the plastic onto the water with. Don't skip your plastics too hard or you can distort the hooks positioning!

Nugget.

Squidgy bugs get my vote, i once had one ( which i put too steep of an angle on when i cast it) hit the surface and skip right over the jetty i was trying to skip under, the jetty was probably 70cm above the water, and the Squidgy cleared it by 40cm at least.

i find that 2 inch snapbacks are good for skip casting cos they are a light plastic due to theyre stetchyness and wen stabbed cast into the water they shoot of the surface under a log or watever ur aiming at....ill be putin that to better practice wen winter cums round...for now its hurling hb's out round timber snags with aggresive bream waitin to smash em....i liv summer
