Sp 4 snapper

Hey guys was just wondering what SP people use for snapper? I have booked a charter for a place called Balgowan in S.A. and will be fishing The shipping channel in Spencer gulf. Will be Fishing in around 90ft of water. Was talking to local tackle shop guy and he gave me a pack of Silstar Slapstix stickbait to try 6" fluro pink with lots of glitter which he reckons will be smashed, What are some other good ones?

Cheers
Db

P.s My mate went on the same charter monday and caught a new PB of 90cm

I can't wait to go now

anything in the 7inch range are good. a mate got heps of snapper aswell as his pb of 10.4 kilo of the gold coast last year. (might not be that big for down S.A though....) lime tigers were his fav but he also did well on 7 atomics

i would go mainly the 5" gupl jerk shads (in any colour) or even the 7"

most of our good fish however have come from the 5"
and as of yet we are to find one colour that is better than another

pics are
84cm snapper i got during the dave irvine snapper comp
and
two snapper caught by me and my mate with a 140cm jewie we caught on the weekend

snapper plastics

I find in shallow water the 4" gulp minnow white is my favourite colour throw down wind let sink a coulple of fast lifts then let sink again while winding in the slack but they are generally for smaller snapper

My old boss is going on a charter to chase, Tuna, Whiting, Snapper and alot of other species but they would be the main targets I imagine.
He's only using lures for the Tuna and Snapper. Some of the plastics he is tacking for the Snapper are the following.

Gulp:
15cm Squid in: Salt & Pepper and Amber Glow.
5'' Jerk Shads in bascially all colours.
4'' Saltwater Pogy.
7'' Saltwater Jerkshad.

And many others, but they are basis. Hope this helps.
