Anyone got an opinion on these rods? Have seen a few Trions, low to mid price that look impressive for the price approx $130. I am curious to hear if anyone has tried their upper end rods, Supremes, Medalists etc etc. Not many in the shops to see.

I am currently using two of the Medalists 6"6" and a 6"10.
One fitted with a Stradic 1000, the other Twin Power.
They are fantastic rods, great casting abillity, nice and light, with just the right amount of sensitivity.
Gotta say I love these sticks

they are a GREAT rod, have played and used quite a few of them, the blank actions are awsome and the workmanship is excllent and for the price...well no comment !!!

I have tried many,many rods & I now have the 7'2" Trion Professional in Black.2-5kg on order.
After trying a friends out,I'm selling all my others except for one Shimano.I was just starting to lean towards a Daiwa & Loomis,but after using The Pfleuger Trion Pro,I'm totally sold!!!
The cork version is about $125.00.The Black Trion is $200.00,& worth every cent,compared to all the rest.If your're intersested go to GOTONE FOUNTAIN GATE,or infact just call them or email them.Marilyn is really great there.

Yeh i've got the new Plfuger also used it twice now..

Handled the Bream with no worries at all and also handled the Pinkies quite well. Casting is good and seems to be a very good hard bodied rod.

Set me back $190 but i think it sells for $200

If you are talking about the new Trions with the split grip design then i think they're great...just don't get the 1-3kg model, its blank is sooo soft that a 1/28th HWS and a 3'' Bass Minnow makes it double over! Even a 20cm Moses Perch loads it up to the foregrip when using 2lb Crystal! I loved the grip section but hated the blank, anyway, some poeple might like it! I payed $120 for it and took it back to DohDohDoh after its first outing and christening. Couldn't get my money back so i had to swap it for the 3-6kg model and i must say it is B-E-A-Utiful! Matched it with my Sedona 2500 and is now my new medium plastic outfit just in time for Winter's big Flathead. Hope this helps for anyone.

Hi all,

Question around these rods. I am looking at getting a 2-4kg 7ft Trion as a flats stick allrounder, i already have a 6'6" BD CC plus 1-3kg.

I believe there is now a 7'2" Trion Tournament Bream rod with the black eva grip, and in the Trion cork split grip rods there is a Artificial Bait series 7ft 2-4kg LFT and an XFT.

When some of you have discussed your Trion is it the slower taper or the extra fast taper you have or like, and why?
