Red face Hull Depth

HI all, I am looking at buying a tinny and am wanting to deck it out myself. I am wanting to put a floor and casting deck on it and was wondering how deep of a hull should i be looking for, and also does puting a floor and deck in effect stability ?

Did the same myself with a Bermuda 3.7.

I got an ali frame welded into the floor where the bottom of the hull meets the side (so much for tech terms but it will do). They welded the frame onto the support stringers for the floor. In saying this you can also just cut ply to sit on top or even cut it out to fit in lower.

If you go into a boat dealer you can see the floors that they sell to get an idea. Great idea just to walk around boat yards to get an Idea

Having said all this the lower the better as the lower your center of gravity the better, but it is a compries if you want underdeck storage.

To make a casting deck. I pop rivetted ali angle onto the fwd thwart and the fwd under deck pocket to sit the Ply on and Wallaa!! (also made a pocket under for the anchour to sit.

More than happy to discuss further.
