Daiwa Kastor
They're not a bad reel. We sell alot of them in the store. Alot of the people starting off in Bream fishing have bought them for the fact that they're pretty cheap and not bad. Good drag and reasonabley smooth. Nice little real for bait too. Great little reel.

Hi,
I have a Daiwa Kastor 3000. She's a real beauty! I purchased it off eBay,second hand. But she was in very, very close to Brand New condition ![]() To keep it short,it has 8lb Platypus Lo Stretch Pink on it.It cast's along way & very smooth in every way.(Bonus is,IT'S GOT GUT'S & can handle very good sized Flathead & larger Pinkies as well) Plus the drag system is great mate! Go for it ![]() Good luck & tight line's, Gae.

I was very lucky,I found a brand new 3500 kastor on ebay starting at 99c.
And thats the price I paid for it. I had it as a SP's reel for big snapper but I now use it full time for snapper with 15pnd mono. It's much smoother then my okuma cornado's 60 snapper reels but then again the kastor hasn't had 5 years of torture like the okumas have. The Kastor is still a top reel for the money and it has a very smooth drag. |

Had the same 2000 for 2 years, in working condition, but it has slowly started to deteriorate. Great reel for beginners.
