murray river and water quality

Hi , I,ve recently found this web site and I am very impressed.Fished the murray on Sun morning to find a low tide
and water very fresh from recent rain.Fishing on SP's was dead!
I suspect the bream have moved down river to the saltier water.
Can anyone give me some answers to these questions. Will the bream move back with saltier incoming tides or do they migrate semi permanently to more constant levels of salt. If they have moved where should I try next, say relative to the Ravenswood Bridge. I fished from Murray Bend to 1km east of the bridge to no avail. Has anyone given the canal systems in Yunderup a good try? I heard there was a good 40 cm fish taken in the canals recently. The low tide did show some awesome ground with good snags and cover exposed but I need to know if I am wasting my time fishing this area again on a rising tide or whether I should try lower down even as low as the Serpentine/Murray confluence.
Any advice will be gratefully received.

Gday.
I spoke to some locals there about a month ago. They were adamant that at this time of the year, the fish were from the bend down. The ravenswood hotel area produced fish that day. From there, all the way to Sth Yunderup is supoosed to be good at this time of the year. I also am interested in the canals system!

BT,
I think you'll find they are still pretty well spread. Most of our fish were of a good size and we actually caught most up around the red bus and along near the houses up that end.

We did also manage some back towards the pub and Davo caught one of his right in front on the opp bank.

Keep trying and don't be scared to move around. We covered a fair distance and worked each area pretty well.

One cheeky thing I do is look to see where the bait guys go. You often find they fish the area well. I tend to fish within about 20m either side and more often than not pick up a few right near them.

Always a good stir.

Try some brighter lures as well.
