Mining industry....... How to get a foot in?

Hi All,

I'm currently looking for work in the mining sector. If anybody knows the best in roads into the mining sector please pm or email (ross.cox@autoclassic.com.au) me.

I have worked with the supplier end of the procurement chain via Coventrys in Kalgoorlie for various contractors, but have since lost contact with the people in the know.

FIFO or whatever suits me fine.

A good friend of Jens is a recruiter for the mining industry. Usually they do labour and operators as far as I know, but if you would like, I can email her and see whats available.

Labour hire companies like skilled, integrated etc are always looking for people.

Im not 100% sure if they will pay for you to do it, but MARCSTA is essential, as too is material handling workstations and a police clearance. I'm sure they will pay for you to pee in the cup and have a physical though.
