I fished the Canning Bridge with Herds yesterday and got one bream, and 2 silver bream. All fish were of very good size. The Orange/Gold Sneaky Scorpion did the damage on the drop-offs and flats, and the Muscadine and PumpkinShrimp Sliders worked best against the pylons.
Jsut check the tides and fish the last 3 hours leading up to the hight tide. It seems to be the most productive!

i spent a couple of hours fly fishing around the fremantle harbour sunday evening, on a hunch that the mythical 2 kg bream around the moorings would really cap off a great week.

Instead i was continually nailed by snook (or pike, those things with the teeth) regardless of fly or depth or location, who took great pleasure in destroying so many flies.

Great fighters initially, but they burn out way too quickly....
I guess at a metre or so they'd be a legitimate sporting challenge.

anyone caught any large bream around that area?

Oh oh...i think i saw breamzilla!!!!

cruising along past the pylons....what a sight....or maybe it was just one of his kids....
