Hi guys,

I am looking for a rod to match with my Daiwa Caldia KIX 4000 loaded with 30lb Braid. Here is what i got in mind Shimano Shoreline 9ft, Tica Extreme 9ft, is there any another you guys would recommend???
BTW i be using it for Light surf, rock, pier, bay. Salmon is my target fish.

Cheers

Maybe you could go shorter if your gonna fish light surf? I've got a Snapper Raider- 7'6"- (as I couldn't justify the cost of a Nitro )for lure work on larger fish in light surf, jetties, esturaries, rocks etc but its also a good length when I can score a ride on a tub.

Mate i got one of those rods on the link below for the very same thing, mines matched with a 4000 Sustain and it feels lovely. Caught a 30lb Dogtooth Tuna on it at Xmas Island last month so they can handle big pulling fish!! highly recommended excellent rod for the price tag, check them out. The extended butt adds more leverage.

Its rated to 5 - 10kg, but as i said i caught a 15kg dogtooth tuna on mine and she held fine!! very strong rod imo. Try the weblink, campbells wouldnt charge much to send it to Vic. If you mean actual weight, it weighs bugger all, its graphite.

Been around some of the Melbourne tackle store and they don't seem to stock them, not to sure whether there is a newer vesion out, or what.
Anyway if anyone of you live in Melbourne and saw one can you tell me where it is.

Cheers
