RBT on river?

Coming into work today the news said that government had passed a law/made a decision for RBT on the water. Can anyone confirm? I dont get on the piss while fishing but some of my hoon mates dont think it is fishing without a couple of slabs in the esky.

Hopefully true, i hope. Once again its law in just about every other state except Wait Awhile. IF you are in charge of a motorised vehicle you shouldnt be under the influence of anything.
Imagine the consequences of dad whos had a few allowing kids to ride on the bow (really really hate that) one slip dads reactions are not what they should be and whallah tragic boating accident.

You know i hate being in a police state where random rules are made that are totally over the top, but common sense solutions to all to familiar problems are left for years on the back burner.

Soapbox somebody give me a damn soapbox.

Was on 6PR this morning. Little thin on details, but legislation will be passed early in the New Year. Would still like to see more people on the water if they are going to start stopping boats for RBT.

Will it be the same as car levels? 0.05, Are you also allowed to drink whilst driving? if so I am against it as I love being able to have a cruise and a couple of drinks at the same time. Especially down at Yunderup where we used to taxi from the pub and home in the boats.

I can see why their doing it but it kind of ruins traditional boating in a way.

So given boat licences will be compulsory soon you will have your licence revoked if you are DUI?

That should slow up some of the larger boats which show little consideration for smaller boats when passing with can in hand.
