What hull/setup
Hey guys, i hopefully will be getting a boat sometime next year if all goes well. At the moment just trying to do a bit of research. At first i was thinking of getting a second hand hull and doing it up but if i can get the money i would rather buy a new one that comes with motor, trailer and warranty extra. I would hopefully not want to spend any more than $10k. I would manly be looking for something to mainly fish for bream in the rivers and when i go up north to places like exmouth broome etc. I would want the boat eventually to be able to have casting deck's, live well and electric motor. It doesn't have to come completley setup but if it could that would be awesome. Any ideas or feed back is greatly appreciated. As it's just in the research stages at the moment.
Cheers Tim

Hi Timmah I maybe biased but my 4m hornet widebody with a 30 yammie has been great, I have fished the last 2 years of comps pretty full on and have had no dramas whatsoever. I got mine with the extruded side decks which are awesome as you can mount rod holders and sounders on them which I have done, they also add a bit of extra rigidity to the hull. once I had bought a leccie and battery i think it came in at just under 10k. If I was you I'd wait until someone upgrades there tourny boat and you will get something that doesn't need anymore spent on it.

Well worth looking around to see what's available. Just depends on whether you go for stability in a punr or v-punt or something more conventional.

Few mods to This One ie remove bow rail, put in a casting deck, and it'll be as good as any other. Looks like a good hull too. easily under $10k Actually I saw This One in the flesh (well Fibreglass) and it is a very stable looking little boat, plenty of casting room too. Aaah the joys of boat buying, nice problem to have ![]() Tom
