Twin Power body
Looking at getting a shimano twin power and was wondering what the body is made out of. The shimano site says that it has the same body as the stella which I sincerely doubt. I understand that the sustain and stradic have aluminium bodies does the twin power?

And why do you doubt it has the same body as the Stella??
They are actually based on the FB stellas and have watered down parts and less bearings to reduce the price as well. The spool also has a different drag setup. The sustains and Stradic share the same body but not all sizes are metal bodied. The smaller stradic to 4000 are composite metal/graphite. The sustain are metal bodied but still composite rotors.....so really Sustain is a upspecced Stradic. Wouldnt you rather own a watered down stella than a blinged up stradic?? |

The Stella has a magnesium alloy body.
The Twin Power has exactly the same body, but made from duralumin (aluminium), ditto the new Aspire. Nothing watered down, just different componentry and fewer bearings. The Sustain and Stradic use the a similar but older duralumin body, again with different componentry and fewer bearings. |
