That set of choppers is out a landbased carnivore for sure. My guess is the cat family and the rest is computer magic

G'day,

A few months ago now I went shooting with my grandpa down south. I bagged a mountain lion. I tied the skull down to an ants nest for them to eat the flesh from it. Its not quite done just yet but it looks exactly like that there. Exactly like it!

Hope this helps, Nugget.

Yup, they're pretty rare but there's been many spottings down here in South Australia. More in other areas like N.S.W.

Should google it, could get some interesting information on how they got down here. I'm probbably wrong but I think its got something to do with the military.

mate if you have the skull i think you should be contacting someone, theres great debate about whether or not pumas/leopards are roaming the aussie wilderness. so if you got a skull it could be worth getting tested for DNA, you could make the news if its more than just an oversized feral cat

They do roam around in the Australian wilderness. Lots of Mountain Lions have been shot here. If you can get your hands on some old 2004 Australian Sporting Shooter magazines. There are quite a few articles about them in that.

Hope this helps, Nugget.

PS: I only posted that to help out BIG PETE, Please don't ruin his thread. I don't want to get in trouble.

I reckon claiming that you have shot something that has caused a fair bit of controversy, especially recently, might get you into more trouble than slightly OT discussion.
