Shimano 2006 Twinpower Mg vs Daiwa Airity

I'm interested in the Shimano Twinpower Mg C2000S (2006 model) and am wondering if I could get some comments here.

1. How does the spool size most similar to in the Daiwa range? (1500 or 2000?)

2. For those who may have used both or repair reels, would the 2006 Shimano Twinpower Mg in general be as durable as the Daiwa Airity series?
