A Little Help
Hi everyone,
I currently spend a fair bit of time spinning for bream around Adelaide (shorebased). Next year I will be working in either North Sydney or Williamstown outside Melbourne. If I end up in Sydney I will probably be living around turramurra or that area. If its williamstown I will be living somewhere between Willamsown and Melbourne. I am just wondering what rivers (in either area) are there for me to get to on a regular basis (ie about an hours drive). Obviously I am interested in bream, but I would be happy enough getting flatties and I would be real keen for bass in sydney. Unfortunately I will still be shorebased. I would also be keen to get the names of some guides in either area so that I can get some expert hands on advice. Cheers |

You'll have plenty of places to choose from, like the hotties near Williamstown,Werribee river,Port Melbourne, plus the Yarra river to just name a few. Tight lines to you, Gae.

Mate in North Sydney you would be spoiled for choice.
Nice and close to the harbor and the 'Sydney' rivers (Parramatta River and Hawesbury) but then a short drive over and beyond the Hawkesbury and your up into the Central Coast and surrounded by some awesome bays, estuaries and creeks to explore. Not much in the way of bass in 'Sydney' proper that I know of. I live west of Sydney and head further West to do my bass fishing But it isn't overly far
