diawa 2000 too heavy for nitro 7' finesse

have just got my tax back and have a little over $300 to spend on a reel.
I already have a TD SOL 3000 and absolutly love it. So right now im looking at getting the 2000 size for my 7' nitro finesse bream.
So is that size to heavy for the rod.
Otherwise ill look at getting the 1500 calida kix.
would preffer the SOL though as it has the metal rotor and spare spool (which are worth $90 on thier own)

oh cool.
Just i have seen alot of people recomending stuadic 1000 for people fishing souly for bream so i was wondering if 2000 sizes were to heavy

Yeah the sols certainly are a great little reel. My 3000 has over 70 salmon to its name along a few talior pushing over 50cm and its still as smooth as the day i got it. (using 10lb power pro)
Would love to use it up north on some queenies

Spewing they dont make a 4000 or larger size

Both reels you mentioned TD Sol 2000 and Caldia Kix 1500 are 230g. Most of the 1500 and 2000 reels in the same Daiwa model are the same weight as they share the same body and just differ in the spool depth.

Exactly what I was going to say. If you wanted something lighter, the Luvias or airity or in shimano, the twinpower or biomaster is a tad lighter. Not so sure the Luvias, airity or twinpower will fit into your tax return budget though.

heaviness......... try balance. Does it balance the rod?

Answer: in basically all cases, the 2000 Daiwa models will balance the rods close to perfect.

So, no problemo in the 2000 on the Nitro Finnesse.

excellent response kamikazeghost!!

The focus on this forumn on actual reel weights never ceases to amaze me... it's like we've all forgotton what we learnt as kids about the importance of how an outfit balances.

With most Breamin rods having a shortened rear grip, the pivot points are towards the tip, right?
I have a 2500 Theory on a 7' Sikstick Pro and it's still tip heavy...

Not having a go MiSh, just trying to add to the conversation.
