What is the latest craze? Your recommendations?

Yeeha, I just bought myself a brand new Shimano Symetre 1500fi and most of you will guess whom it's from! Great buy IMO

OK I always go 4lb fireline and want to go in a different direction from my norm. So what is the last craze, what do you recommend. I normally just do my own thing and don't really know what's out there. Heard of the fireline XDS, now this crystal thingo, God knows what.

Suggestions appreciated, then I will go to a tackle store tomorrow night after I pick up my reel. Oh no, Campbells isn't open! Anyone works in a tackle store?

Now should I put this on a 6'2" Graphite USA or a 5'8" Strudwick TPs.

Advise would be appreciated. People say ST helps me with tackle, no that's not so, not for the last 12 months, thus any help appreciated as I am truly lost and want to try something different.

Do you want to spend about $60 to spool up? If so there are two that come to mind

Around $40 mark $50 being the max, assuming that it will last. I've got backing, just the braided line. I am great at forming knots when fishing SP as still learning. Ta LR

hi LR

i'm liking the line systems bass hard (orange one) at the moment. seams great so far but has i have not given it a heap of use yet, probably only about 4 or 5 days fishing, but so far i much prefer it to fireline. seams to knot, cast & lay better with equal visability, and heaps thiner as well.

$60 od bucks a spool but............

my 2 bob worth

I agree with Brad as well, while I have only been using it for about a month or so it has so far been good and better than fireline on all fronts.

Do you guys think it's worth it though? It's pretty much twice as expensive as any fireline...

I am casting lighter jigheads further and seem to be hitting my target area alot more consistently. So far I am not getting the wind knots as much as with the fireline, so I am happy to pay the extra.

Only way to really know is to try it out i guess

OK thank guys, I'll buy this one if it's so highly recommended. Great orange will be good for my sight. What lb do most of you use? I will go into the stores and ask for the 'line systems bass hard' .... is there a brand name I should ask for

It's just that this other store I go to is not an expert at lure fishing and my tackle store isn't open at night. Guess it's no buying lunch for the rest of the week!

Brad are you using 4lb or 6lb. I only ever use 4 lb and have been happy but i've been told to go 6 lb in Line systems

I just got a call from Sewelly and he told me to go 6lb as it's very soft? Anyway 6lb for me then.

I've been told the 6lb is as thin as normal 4 lb but the Line system 4 lb can be a little tricky to handle..

I've got all stradic 1000 each with a spare spool so was thinking a bit of both..But i've been really happy with my Squidgee braid..Just replacing if i think something is going to be better...

hope that makes sense..
