growth rates

Hey guys.
Does anyone know what the growth rates are on bream?
I know it is very slow, but don't know any figures.
The reasonni ask, is that the fish in my aquarium seem to be groing at a relatively fast rate. It may be simply the fact that i am running higher temps and they have better living conditions (water, food, etc).
Just curious!

ps: that is the southern black 'm talking about!

Hey Kingpin
Your fish are young. MOst fish have a fast growth rate during its juvenile stage. When they reach maturity the growth rate slows down and begins to level out. A bit like an exponential graph.
Dolphinfish is known to have very fast growth rates. And it gets even better in captivity. One was recorded to have reached 11kg in 13mths. That's from a 5.5mm egg! As for black bream, the breams that I had took 4 yrs to reach ~400gm.
