Abu and pflueger

has anyone got any comments on the overhead and baitcaster range of reels by abu and pflueger. i am looking at getting both of these reels a slim line and an overhead. what are your thoughts or feedback on either of these brand.

Cheers Tim

If your talking about overhead reels like the 6500-7000's ect then there really good and I can highly recomend them.
I know its a long shot now but try and get the ones that are made in Sweeden and not Thialand for obvious reasons.

These reels are work horse reels and will last years! I know guys that have 6500's that are over 20 years old and still going strong.

cheers, Nathan

Tim, the new Pflueger, low profile baitcasters (President or Supreme) are very nice reels indeed, 1 piece ali body and sealed SS bearings. Rust won't be a problem plus you get a 5 year warranty. But, you won't get much change from $400 for the President and none for the Supreme.

If you are thinking of spending that sort of dosh have a look at the Chronarchs, my favourite is the 50MG.

Abu Garcia Low Profile Reels

Hey,

I would reccomend the Abu Garcia Revo Inshore, this reel can pull a massive 24lb of drag, which is a lot compared to a Pflueger President. If you go onto the website, you can see some guy who caught a sailfish (a huge fish) on the reel. I am also looking at them myself.

Cheers

Daiwa Freak.

Abu Garcia 5600C4

I also have an Abu Garcia 5600C4 which is an awesome reel. It is a great reel due to its high speed ratio and its smoothness.

Cheers
