Black Diamond's New ClearCut Bream Rods Ready!

Well, at long last we have our new ClearCut bream rods ready for release! We are very pleased with the outcome. They look and feel great. We will post some pics shortly. They are officially released tomorrow (Saturday March 18th). They retail for $299 but to help some Breammaster breamers get a quality Australian made and designed rod, we are putting them on sale for $250 for one month only. So hurry and get one while you can at this price. The first model to be released is the 6ft 2-4kg (1 pc). We have also sampled the 6ft 1-3kg (1 pc) and the 6'6 1-3kg (2 pc) . These three rods are very sweet bream models indeed.
So drop me a note, all those interested.
Thanks,
Cindy

Different feel to the Crankbait Drewy, but if you're after a 6' rod for HB's it's pretty good.

This 6ft 2-4kg has a moderately fast action whereas the Crankbait has a slower action. I would say the new ClearCut would suit most hardbody enthusiasts. It really is a lovely rod with accuracy, strength and sensitivity to hook a bream and then to pull him out of hard places. Just ask Eddystone. He keeps sending me notes about how much he loves the rod!
Cheers,
Cindy

The 1-3kg is particularly suited to plastics. The 2-4kg will throw them as well but it's a bit meatier in the butt.

The thing that is good about this rod is its TOUGH without being too beefy

Have used everything from 1/8th to weightless plastics.....

HB too.....

No issues at all...

Important Notice from BD

It has been brought to my attention that some individuals have felt that because of the price of the new ClearCut that they are somehow inferior to our other rods (Custom Plus). I need to state, and I am sure Sean/Bear will verify, the quality and performance that many of you have come to know of Black Diamond continues on in these and will in all new and future ranges we are releasing. This will never change. We only use quality materials and build these new rods at the same quality level. We would never compromise our work or reputation by using inferior materials or poor workmanship. You will always see the same level of professional quality as found in our Cplus and any subsequent ranges we release. I am sorry for any misunderstanding that may have occured though the description of the new ClearCuts. They are a different BD range but still shine with the same quality and professionalism.
To say I am excited about our new ranges (yes, there are two more new ranges coming soon) is an understatement. I am excited because we can offer even more top quality rods to the Australian market. We take our workmanship and designs seriously as any professional artist would and will not compromise in any way. When many of you get a chance to see our new ranges, I am sure you will agree.
Thank- you,
Cindy

Cindy,
maybe some info on the differences in blank and componentary between the ClearCut and C-plus range would clear things up. I assume the ClearCuts are on a lower modulus blank and have less expensive guides and reel seat.

Guys

I have no association with Black Diamond other than being an extremely satisfied customer.

I can vouch for the quality throughout the range as I have bought at both ends of the scale... from the budget (for want of a better word) Bluestone rod, to the C-Plus Flats Ranger and I can say in all honesty that the rods ooze quality in craftsmanship and I am yet to use better.

I have just ordered my Clear Cut today and have come online here to find this thread. I have absolutely no issues at all with handing over my money, as I will get just what I expect from the guys at BD, a quality product and professional service.

Panger: These things I thought would be understood but even in saying that, the quality of the blank and components are above anything we have seen in the market for the price. I guess that is one of the reasons I am so excited. And we have more new ranges that we are in the process of building that have left even me in awe at the quality of the materials. The thing I am trying to stress is, you as a customer are get exceptional value for money. Besides the quality of the materials, we build the ClearCuts with as much care as the Cplus. Nothing suffers and that's what makes me so pleased. We are an honest company who really do care about our customers and in giving our customers the best we can for their dollar.

Gaffer: Thanks for the vote of confidence. Your words are appreciated.
Thanks,
Cindy

Hi Cindy.
It is my impression that the only difference is components (guides), and blanks.

Build quality will not differ one iota. It is the same with custom rods. You build to your customers BUDGET and specifications. You give them the same attention to detail, craftmanship and care. You address any issues professionally and honestly.

Guys, Batson's range of blanks and components is exceptional, a true reflection of their dedication to offering the best range for any price.

Ted..
