Drilling Ali?

Hi Guys...

I want to change my old bungers bung from rubber stopper to screw in bung. I would need to enlarge the hole in the hull, currently takes a size 8 rubber bung. Can I just go at it with a drill or should I be using something special?

...Cheers

Shane

I'd say go for it with a smaller size drill bit than the size you need, then carefully open it out with a round or half round file until your fitting fits just right. Also helps if you back up the area you're drilling with a block of wood to minimise tearing from punch out.
