bream game

heres an idea for when u want to go for a bream fish but the weather just isnt cooperating

i reckon it'll be pretty good if an australian gaming company made a really good bream fishing game. top graphics, awsome gameplay, australian rivers eg walpole, swan, hawksberry, parramatta, kalgan ect. what would make it better is that they make the rivers identical to the real rivers and add some awsome structure
there could be tournaments where u could verse people like chris wright, tim the bream, chris hickson and other popular bream fishos. other bass games i have played, they have made the other anglers too easy to beat, even on hard so this game will be a challenge to win so u will be really happy when u win one.
imagine a full range of lures with all the brands included.
it would also be good if the bream werent too easy to catch. make knida realistic but really fun.
the gear u choose can affect how good u fish and skill u obtain like casting distance, breaking strain, different sounders that pick up better bottom structure than other sounders and electric motors.
the way u get better gear is buy winning tournaments and completing goals which allow u to go to a store in your profile and buy what u can afford.
the tournaments can be like super punts, aoy, b.r.e.a.m, ssns and others.
there would be other features like weather, different species (flathead, mulloway, whiting, bass, flounder.),temp of water.

but the best thing about it would be big black bream

it would come out on these consoles (x box, xbow 360, ps2, pc)

all i can do is pray for a game like this

Don't Dream Spinn!

Put all your ideas on paper and shoot off some letters to the gaming mobs. You never know they may pick up on the idea and you might make a $.

I have devised loads of sketches/articles and concept ideas for a breaming game.
I have covered alot of basics such as:
Game settings;
Free Fish- Fish limited locations. Unlock more levels through tournies.
Tournament- The main game, based around our ABT Heroes- Starlo, Slick, Tim the Bream, the Metcalfes, Bushy and Ian Miller.
AFC Special- Chance to unlock AFC mini-game.

Difficulty settings;
Easy- $2000
Medium- $1400
Hard- $900

Boats;
You will get a boat for starters, something in the lower end of the market, gradually you can upgarde. Start off with limited choices of boat accessories eg; 2 boats type, 4 different motors, 2 diffferent leccies, 1 livewell set up, 2 different sounders.
Gradually, as stats and currency build up you can purchase better gear. Currency will also limit on what can be purchased.

Rods/Reels;
Same as above, limited choice. Currency will cut back on choices.
Can purchase and carry 4 rodsat anytime. 18 different rods, ranging from $90-800. Start off with 4 different, lower end rods and 6 lower end reels to choose from.
Upping your stats will allow access to all 18 rods and 20 reels.

Lures-
My favourite section, this'll proably take up a lot of the game LOL 65 different SP and HB variations (colours and types) rnaging from Atomic through to Yo Zuri.

Motions-
Fish; super hard fighting, harder than a real bream, bust offs are possible, unlike stupid bass fishing games
Multiple casting motions, depending on manpulation of thumb stick.

Polarization or no polarization is a setting, too.

Currency;
Start off with set amount from settings. You will earn more money from the tournies. You can win Big Bream awards, too.

Locations;
Proably total of 30 locatiosn from Qld, NSW, Vic, SA, WA.

Have loads of ideas

Cheers
Rohan

Pretty sure i put up a simmilar post back in the day about the same thing, lure fishing around australia rivers and coast for flatties,bream, GT ect ect...

To make a game as good as you describe it would cost alot to make and the demand might not be there unless people out side of Oz would want in on the game also...

i think the best help we will get from overseas is from the yanks. they know there bass well and they can apply some technology that they use for bass games to a new bream game.

In replyto your post David, I believe tackle companies would eb willing to sponsor if you include tournies named after them, eg; Rapala Yarra Challenge or Gamakatsu Murray Showdown.

Visible signs w/ slogans such as Atomic lures, Cahrlie Brewer Sldier Co. with internet links could also pay for a majority of production.

I'd do anything to get a game like that. even tho its not made yet all the information you guys have been saying that could be on the game has got me all psyched up.
Maybe if we made a petitition and got alot of people to sign it, then one of us sent it to a game company they could possibly think about producing a killer game like the one mentioned above. I'm sure if it did come out it would be a big hit as the popularity in sp and hb fishing for bream has grown dramatically over the past couple of years.

Don't forget catch and release might increase.

Videos of live bream action, releases and tips, like in AFL Premiership Season might be a good inclusion to promote C & R

we should do that dell. good idea.
but how do we get people to sign a petition.i think it should be done online on this site.

with your comment lure muncher, it will also result in tackle companies paying some money towards the game for it to be made.

Hey I got a better Idea

why don't ya sign a bloody petition to get the swan fixed, so instead of sitting on ya arses playing a computer game, you and your kids may still be able too do the real thing

Hey Trouty and your worried about participation in recreational angling.Gee fun day out, with dad sitting down with a packet of chips, few beers, with Wa&kers cramp from playing a bloody play station game

sorry for the post but you wonder why the guys who have tried to make things better for recreational fishing are dropping like flys. me included

Wally

hi wally
read my thread on algae bloom and then say i dont care about the swan river.
a computer game isnt going to sink the swan river into disaster.
having a bit of fun on a playstation or x box isnt a crime.

lighten up mate. the swan is far from over
