Reel Maintenence
Hey
Just bought my new reel (capricorn) and im not used to washing my reel after every use. So can you guys explain what i should do after i use it...where to wash and where not to thanks |

Want a tip?, dont wash it, wipe it down with a damp cloth and then put a drop of oil on line roller and pivot points of bail arm, if you want to wash line under warm water take spool off the reel and do it.

mate if i was u, get used to washing it! u have just bought a new reel do u wnt it to be as good as new every time u use. its not hard to wash a reel all u gotta do is set the hose to a light spray go over it a couple of times, dry it and spray a little cote of inox over it
its not that hard |

When you do wash it tighten the drag knob so that water doesn't get into the drag washers. Then give it a shake to get all the excess water off. Remember to loosen off the drag knob when dry.

i never wash my reels. they just get a wipe over with a rag with inox on it. ive got a stadic and a luvias and they are both in absolute perfect condition still.
if my reels did get wet with salt water i would give them a wash. |
