bought my new rod

finally bought my 6"10 penn pin-point tournament rod. i bought a penn accord 1000 with it as well.
the penn pin point was cut down from $150 to $110 and the reel was down to $59.
i was hard to decide between to berkely dropshot and the pin point, but the pin point felt a lot better to me and i ended up buying that. and plus a few berkely minnows to keep me interested for these holidays. cant wait to test the rod out.
so all up it was 170 for my combo and im pleased with the price that i got with it.

Mate thats a nice pickup.Ive got a dropshot and its awesome and I'm getting a penn pinpoint soon, as they seem equally nice. You were decieding between two very good rods.As for the reel, they are a new reel that has really caught my eye, seems to have a lot of features of much more expensive counterparts.Hope you have fun and alot of success with your new outfit!

Cheers,
nathan

I recently got the Penn Pinoint Tournament 6'6" 2 piece 3-5kg for $90. Considering you get Fuji Alconites, the Fuji "pipe" real seat and a hook keeper I reckon these are far the best HB rod for the price at the moment.
Its probably a genuine 3-4 kg rod, and has considerable grunt down low for a $90 rod. I've had no hassels pulling Bream from snags with it.

Amazon is an awesome store.

lots of tackle and the cheapest prices.

Compleat Angler at villawood, have a much bigger variety, but they like to have their pice tag double the usual
