this may be a stupid question to some though y is the cup held on a tuesdsay not a saturday or sunday like most of the other races

she really is the best, what more does she have to prove, 3 melbourne cups.

now she can life the rest of her life just chillin in a paddock somewhere and making baby divas.

She did a grand job,

And they can give up on the "is she as good as phar lap" Id say theres a gap still between the 2. Phar Lap won on all 4 days of the spring carnival the year he won his melbourne cup with 62.5kg on his back.

Carbine is another who something like 4 times won 2 races in the same day. Something that would never happen today let alone even considered.

The Diva is something special but in her own right, and justice will never be served trying to compare the 2. Different times in history...... I actually backed Makybe and Xcellent, Id have been happier with a dry track.
