got this off the Club Marine web site.

'Tom Bretherum spends a lot of his time fishing the mangrove creeks in north Queensland, that's why he developed the Bushman brand of bug repellent.

When he decided that he needed a car topper that could fish two at a pinch, he built the Tarpon 3.7. The fibreglass, Kevlar and carbon hull is a semi-vee bottom with very flat aft sections, it measure 3.7 by 1.4 metres and the bare hull weighs 38 kilograms. It has two removable swivel casting chairs, a small casting platform and some rod storage on either side.

With a 9.8hp outboard on the back it will run at 33mph and with two up, 28mph. The Tarpon 3.7 sells for $3,995.

Enquiries: Tarpon Boats. Tel: (07) 4033 2446. '

Just used Google and did a search.

HTH.

another.
The advantage with these (when I was researching them) was that they are very light, so a smaller motor gets you the same speed, along with better economy.
Lighter as a car topper too, and they are [supposedly] tough.

Hi Breamboy,
about a year ago I spent a half a day lure casting in Trinity inlet at Cairns in a Tarpon, they are a pretty tough little boat and fairly stable the one we used had a 10hp yam on it and the thing flew.
For the price they are a great little estuary rig, we just took the motor and seats off and strapped it to the rola roof racks on the nissan, no sweat.

Cheers Samurai

There's a member on here - Wacko - who used to own one, I'm sure he'd be happy to answer any questions you have if you sent him a PM

Does anyone know what sort of a ride these boats give in a bit of chop and if they'd be compfortable with two up in some choppy water as apposed to a standard ali hull.

Cheers, Ben
