Aus post

How much will it cost to send 2, 6ft (2 piece) rods from Perth to Melbourne.

I got on the Auspost site and things got a bit confusing. When I put in the height and weight it said it would cost about $7.00.

I'm pretty sure I stuffed up some where. Has anyone actually sent rods across Oz - if so - how much did it cost

I have sent 6' rods for less than $15 up to NSW. You shouldnt pay more than $20 to send it to your door from WA.

If you go through a freight company expect to pay more. I pay $30 to send 6' one peice rods across Aus so its not that pricey really..

cheers, Nathan

the amount of money it says it is, if you have put in the correct dimensions, will be right, postage doesn't cost that much i had a power steering box sent from big pete, over WA to melbourne, thing was over 10 kg's and bos was around 30cmX30cmX15cm that was around 35 bucks on a courier.

aus post an't to bad at all. if they don't loose it on the way, ie take home a fishing rod for their kids
