5 foot 6 -like spin rod, creek bassing
May be off topic for breammaster, but seeing if anyone's come across a 5 foot 6 spin rod (or thereabouts) for working skinny creeks?
Most of what I've seen (online) are just trout pond/'area' rods, which look like noodles.

Set to be released in a couple of month I am looking at one of these for exactly what you are talking about.

There is a 5'5" 2-5kg pflueger lithium designed for just that.

Thanks for the suggestions.
The pricepoint on the pflueger is good. Have you had a chance to see what it's like (or the lithium range in general)? The kaydo sounds like a nice rod, though not a fan of the price point, and the minamalist grip.

I've used a lithium a couple of times, specifically the 6'9 2-5KG 2 piece. They're quite nice for the money. They're a bit more crisp and feel a tad lighter in hand than an equivalent trion.

I did come across the MB Episword, though appears to be discontinued and hard to source.

I remember graphiteleader had something similar as well, Veloce Bambino, though again, discontinued.
http://www.rodsreview.com/velocebambino-i574.asp Thought about building my own as well, but the set up costs and parts (and mistakes) wouldn't work out that much diff to the Lithium. Lithium should be on its way.

Specs of this look pretty good if it's true

Initial impressions are a bit underwelming.
One of the guides is a bit off-centre and general construction shows off its made-in-china characteristics, though I'm not that bothered by that. The tip is just not tippy enough for casting. Hmmm..

![]() I was playing with another 6'9" 2-5kg model in my local today, it's definitely got quite a soft tip. Have you had a chance to actually fish with it yet?

Nah not yet.
I was looking more for a F/XF rod, and this isn't it. Haven't fished it yet, and debating on keeping it or not. Sort of like a rod you pick up in a shop, have a wiggle, and go, nah.
