I also set myself a lunch time challenge - build a work bench with a set square - hand saw and cordless drill in under an hour.

Took about 90 mins coz I had to hit Bunnings for more screws and got caught behind someone with a trolley on the travelator

speaking of pvc....

heres some rod holders Ive knocked up. Already I know what changes I want to make so gonna rip it apart and make version 2.0.

turn floaters into suspenders with a few wraps of fine solder. I normally start off with more wraps than needed, then trim off excess little bit at at time when on the water until desired float rate is achieved:

What brand spray paint are you guys using on your pvc pipe - and is there any special prep to make sure it doesnt just rub off
