The flame from the cooking oil and Paper towel burner was too weak
So I had to pull out the dreaded gas burner which melted the lead quite easily. (But portable gas burners and melting lead is not a recommend combo due to explosions) Last edited by yellow door 1; 19-02-2021 at 03:37 AM. |

And I’ve just worked out that breammaster will only show iPhone photos the right way up if they are taken in landscape. Even if you try flipping a portrait image in editing

Why didn’t the yellow/red flame of the oil and paper towel burner melt the lead I hear you ask.
Its coz yellow/red flames are a sign on incomplete combustion. They are much colder than the blue flame a gas burner puts out. The bluer Flame from a gas burner can be twice as hot. Last edited by yellow door 1; 19-02-2021 at 10:49 AM. |

Bored in Lockdown
Heading back to Shark Bay in late April (earlier this year) and hope to chase a few mackies, so wire was in order. The local tackle store guy had a cool tool to make haywire twists for wire leaders.
Original (from USA) here: An hour or so in the man shed and voila 1.jpg 2.jpg 3.jpg Takes a little practice, but happy with the result.
